COLLEGE - everyone is talking about it so,
next year, will be the tedious work of filling out crap and busting my ass off. I think, i will go to community college first because it opens up more oppurtunites in my case, which I’m not proud to say :(. But damn, I am so impatient. Most likely going to OCC with undecided thoughts. I honestly can’t wait til college because that’s where everything comes into play, the people are more mature, and I’ll be out of here.
So, this caught my eye and made me feel this NEED for response.
It is tedious to fill out all the crap and bust your ass off. I agree that going to community college first is a great option. I started at a 4 year university, and was so busy trying to adapt to being away from home, making new friends, and staying sane with the workload that I failed two out of five courses. In that time my mother also lost her job so it was cheaper to come home where I’d focus and be able to ease my way into the way college works.
After my first semester at NCC? I had a 4.0 GPA. And I now have a 3.77 GPA and I’m in Honors courses about to graduate from NCC and move on to Kutztown University.
I only JUST figured out that I want to be an art major. So do NOT let anyone pressure you into thinking you NEED to declare your major right away. That’s crap. Work at your pace.
And I wish I could tell you that you are right about the people being more mature. They just have more adult issues that are being handled immaturely. I find myself amazed at the maturity levels of some of the students. Honors keeps me relatively sane. But it’s still definitely where life kicks off.
Don’t know that I helped, or if you’ll read it or not, but… thought it was a necessary response. :/ Maybe… I don’t know. Who’m I as an authority on anything? Ah well.. :) Good luck with things :)
